Kadason’s development began with firsthand experience. The CEO of Ys Pharma Inc., Yamamoto, personally struggled with seborrheic dermatitis for years. Like many others, he experienced persistent itching, visible flaking, and the frustration of trying product after product without finding something that felt suitable for regular use. Rather than pursuing quick fixes or exaggerated claims, that experience led to a more careful question:
What would a shampoo look like if it were designed for people who actually live with this condition?

Kadason was developed in close collaboration with pharmacists, with a focus on formulation discipline, regulatory compliance, and daily usability.
The result is a federally regulated OTC shampoo containing 1.80% salicylic acid, an active ingredient recognized for helping reduce the symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis and dandruff, including flaking and irritation.
Every formulation decision was guided by a single principle:
to support ongoing symptom management without unnecessary complexity or overstated promises.
